Role Overview
Fire Door Inspection Solutions is seeking an organised and reliable Operations Administrator to support our Operations team and help ensure the smooth coordination of engineers, site activities, documentation, and operational processes.
This is a key support role within the business, helping to manage accurate records, track job progress, and act as a central point of coordination between internal teams, engineers, and clients. The role supports the compliant delivery of doorset and architectural ironmongery packages from order through to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Operations team, including engineers and management
- Coordinate job schedules, site diaries, and operational activities
- Track purchase orders, work orders, and job documentation
- Maintain accurate records relating to site activity, job progress, and service delivery
- Upload, file, and control operational documents such as drawings, schedules, approvals, and correspondence
- Monitor key project milestones such as approvals, manufacture start, deliveries, and handover
- Respond to basic order and contract queries, escalating issues when required
- Liaise with internal teams including sales, technical, production, and logistics
- Support audit, quality, and compliance processes by maintaining organised and accurate records
- Input and manage data across internal systems and spreadsheets
- Produce regular job status and workload reports for the Operations Manager
- Provide general administrative support and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in an administrative or operations support role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, reliable, and well‑organised approach to work
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Calm and professional when working to deadlines
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in construction, compliance, maintenance, or engineering environments
- Familiarity with operational or scheduling systems
- Experience supporting field‑based or site teams
- Knowledge of compliance or certification documentation
Full training will be provided on company systems and procedures.

We are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team in Mansfield. This is a key role within the business, supporting the delivery of fire door compliance projects by producing accurate, clear, and commercially sound quotations.
You’ll work closely with our inspection, operations, and client teams to assess requirements and develop tailored proposals for remedial works, replacements, and upgrades.
This is an opportunity to be part of a business operating within a critical life safety sector, where your work directly contributes to safer buildings and better compliance outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for fire door remedial works, replacements, and upgrades
- Review survey data, specifications, and drawings to develop clear, structured quotations
- Manage incoming enquiries and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to clarify project requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
- Use internal systems to analyse project information and produce tailored estimates
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire door standards, regulations, and industry best practice
What we’re looking for
- Experience in an estimating role within construction, fire doors, or a related sector
- Understanding of fire door compliance and associated remedial works
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, consistent work
- Confident using estimation software or similar systems
- Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
